hi all,
I'm looking for ideas for this space. I would love some shelves above the drawers here, the drawers are fixed in place next to built in wardrobe, and we just need some extra space for storage.
Not sure how easy ot would be to fix and edge and shelving to something like this.
Thanks
Hello @Kirstin1
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about extra shelving.
Depending on the allowable space it is possible to purchase a pre-made cabinet which you can use as extra shelving. If you can tell us about the available space above your drawers, we'll be able to make recommendations for flat pack cabinetry. Another option is to build the shelving from scratch. On the condition that the space is not too wide, it should be possible to create a cabinet shelving system that will allow you to use 100 percent of the space available.
I've placed an image below to give you an idea of how you can add shelves to the space available. Please let us know what you think.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric

Thankyou Eric.
It is 530mm wide at top with 10mm overhand over side.
670mm deep.
It would also be fine if there was an option that was not the full depth, ie 600mm.
Hi @Kirstin1,
The 530mm width is a bit of an in-between size, so I haven't been able to find anything that is really close in terms of width.
There's this Lugna 512 x 450 x 580mm White Cabinet Shell, which is 450mm wide, 512mm tall and 580mm deep.
There's also this Lugna 768 x 450 x 580mm White Cabinet Shell, which is 450mm wide, 768mm tall and 580mm deep.
They are just cabinet shells, but you can add the Lugna White Adjustable Cabinet Shelf - To Suit 450 x 580mm to complete them.
You would need to ensure you suitably fix the cabinet to the wall or wardrobe beside it to ensure it does not topple. You can use angle brackets and these Ramset Nylon WallMate Plasterboard Anchor With Screws to attach it to the wall, or you could use Zenith 8G x 28mm Gold Passivated Countersunk Rib Head Chipboard Screws to fix it to the wardrobe or drawers beneath.
Let me know what you think.
