Getting Established

New internal wall featuring stained glass

Internal wall added to a lounge and bedroom as planned.

Materials

Framing timber...bunnings 

Nails and screws.....bunnings 

No nails glue...bunnings

No gaps....bunnings

Wood Filler...bunnings 

MDF. VGroove panels.....bunnings

4n1..sealer ,primer,undercoat....bunnings

Paint...bunnings 

Paint brushes and rollers...bunnings 

Framing timber...bunnings

Leadlight windows....owners

 

Tools

Nail gun framing...owner

Nailgun finishing...owner

Dropsaw....owner

Compact battery drills

Router....owner

Hammer....owner

Steps

Step 1

Room divided into two..

.1..framed and lined with V groove MDF..

.2...Nail and screw holes filled and sanded.

3..Window opening cut out.

4..walls sanded and used

4n1..,sealer,primer and undecorated ..

5..1top coat of green..

6..windows installed.

7...filled and sanded all nail holes around window frames...

8..4n1 sealer,primer,undercoat applied

9..1top coat applied

10..final coat over wall and windows

 

Step 2

Framing went up as plans.

V groove MDF panels installed,window cutouts were next  ,filled and sanded all nail,screw holes...then application of 4n1 sealer,primer,undercoat on MDF V panels.

next day windows installed filled nail holes,sanded...4n1sealer,primer and undercoat on windows..

When dry...painted 1 coat of green.

Skirting board added...holes filled and sanded,4n1 primer,sealer undercoat  painted on...once dry 1 coat of green applied.

Next day...final coat on wall,windows,and skirting ...yah!!!

Another particularly excellent project. Your home has such wonderful vintage glass. 

 

The modern V-groove panelling, in the wonderful shade of green, is a fantastic finish to accentuate the beautiful windows.

 

Thank you for sharing another brilliant project and congratulations on all your hard work. It has definitely paid off.

Afternoon @walkerkaiaua195 

Now that is an outside the box answer to allowing light in and also difusing it enough so it dosnt feel invasive!

Will be filing the idea away as I can see a few uses that it can be applied to. Love your window work btw!
