Can't stop staring at this makeover every time I walk past
We had a cupboard no longer being used so we converted to display mums lifetime collection of shells.
We used a Lugna 750w x 280d bookshelf carcase in the middle.
Then on both sides we used the Flexi-storage 270mm double brackets with 300x900 shelves.
Bought 4 glass shelves from a glazier and created glass shelf supports with the brass ones and a silicone dots.
Added low lumen strip lights in square profile brackets that were about the same size as the edges of the carcase, just stuck on with double sided foam.
All that's left is a cabinet maker to change the bifold doors over to glazed ones.
Majority of the shells are categorised into plastic boxes from Kmart that fit the depth of the shelf and width perfectly.
Hello @Calet_v
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your amazing shell display cupboard.
This looks absolutely beautiful and so thoughtfully done. You can really feel the care and love that’s gone into showcasing such a special lifetime collection, and the lighting and glass shelves make the shells feel like they’re in a little museum at home. It’s one of those displays that naturally draws you in as you walk past, and it’s lovely how a once unused cupboard has been turned into something so meaningful and elegant.
