Shelving for stereo system using timber pallets

The benchtop unit was made in part using old timer pallets (planed, sanded back) and timbers purchased at local bunnings.

The top took the longest due to the amount of planing and sanding and finishing , joining required using combination of glue and clamps and also support bracing underneath.

Hidden metal Brackets and glue used to support legs.

Bottom shelf was already dressed timber at Bunnings.

Though had to cut to size myself unfortunately the saw at Bunnings was out of action.

The stain used is Japan Black with a clear lacquer over the top.

Wow! Looks great!

But Kevin - where's your amplifier/receiver?

Meatloaf - RIP :unhappy:

In the box - is that the reverse side of his Dead Ringer album showing?

Re: Shelving for stereo system using timber pallets

Its via a preamped subwoofer bar speaker.

Yes meatloaf indeed.

Re: Shelving for stereo system using timber pallets

Thank you.

Yes its. Is the dead ringer album.

Preamped via soundbar/subwoofer.

Re: Shelving for stereo system using timber pallets

Hi @KevinMall

What a beautifully made table for your stereo. That Japan Black finish really makes it look like a very expensive and stylish table. Looking at your handy work, I sometimes wonder if I've overthought my own stereo shelf. If I had to do mine over again, I would go with a nice straightforward design like yours.

Thank you so much for sharing your stereo shelving pallet project.

Eric

See something interesting? Give it the thumbs up!

Thank you Eric.

Yes agree sometimes simplistic works a treat.
