What kind of doors for a living room?

Hi, 

So we have two openings around a snug that we would like to put doors across. 

The openings are 1980(w) x 2080(h) (pic attached).

There is no space for sliding doors that would disappear into a wall cavity, but we are happy to lose 1/3 of the horizontal space to a fixed panel (glass?) at one side. We do not want raised tracks across the floor of the openings. 

Would barn doors suit this kind of opening, using a rail across the top? Thx

Decided after all not to enclose the area... Moving around the house too much to keep opening and closing doors. Sometimes it just takes a while to figure these things out as a family.... Thx
