How to fix gap in engineered timber floor boards?

Have an engineered timber floor that’s about 5 years old and notice a gap is increasing between some of the boards. Any simple fix?

Re: how to fix gap in engineered timber floor boards

My current floating floor (not installed by me) has lots of large gaps, and like you @Noyade 4yrs later I'm still yet to fill them. But I've fixed everyone else's.

Hi @RonJ

You probably won't get a great match, but having them filled will be less noticeable once the new-ness wears off than the gaps.

I hope you do have success @RonJ.

When we did our floors we were amateurs and to show you how stupid I can be, believing my body-weight was countering any effort to do what you now want to do - I positioned an adjustable Crescent pry bar against the stud - and attempted to 'jump' whilst simultaneously pulling upward on the bar handle.

We live and learn.
