I've just moved into a new property, and my old washing machine doesn't quite fit properly... I've worked out the waste pipe, however the water inlet pipe is a bit tricky.
I've tried simply screwing the pipe to the water, but it leaks terribly! What can I do?
Hi @Amberley,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
The first thing to try is wrapping the taps thread with a few layers of thread seal tape. The tape will help fill any slight gaps in the connection between the threads, creating a much better seal.
If this doesn't fix the issue completely, then the thread in your inlet hose may have worn out too much, in which case a new inlet hose, alongside the thread tape, should fix the issue.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
