Hi There!
I am in the process of removing a poly laundry cabinet to replace with new cabinets.
I have removed all screws, the sink and other attachments but the base of the cabinet is stuck down between the connector at the base of the waste pipe and the floor. How do I go about removing the cabinet? Do I need to cut the pipe?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hello @ashleyj
Thanks for sharing your question about your laundry cabinet. If you look closely at the bottom of the pipe, you'll see a white plastic flange connected to the bottom of the cabinet. This flange is what is holding you back, I propose using a 190mm Diagonal Pliers to cut the plastic flange. Once the flange has been removed you should be able to slide the laundry tub upwards. At this point in time, it would be better not to cut the laundry exit pipe. But if after removing the flange and the cabinet is still stuck then the only choice is to cut the laundry exit pipe.
Once the cabinet has been removed, I strongly suggest covering the exit pipe with a plastic bag and some rubber band to prevent sewer gasses from entering the laundry room.
