Does the Ozito 1500W 5J Rotary Hammer Drill chisel randomly rotate?

I'm interested in buying this rotary hammer drill.

One question though. Does the chisel still randomly rotate as you chisel?

A couple of the reviewers say yes.

But this was two years ago.

You can also chat directly with the Ozito guys.

Over the years they have been fantastic and always responded to my requests and sourced hard to find tools

Hi @Noyade 

If the stop rotation is correctly engaged it shouldn’t rotate when chiselling. Some models of these tools do offer an additional mode allowing rotation which can be handy when operating in tight locations

In The case of the Ozito model it doesn’t have these feature so the chisel should be fixed. If not there is a fault

Hi @Noyade,

These drills have three functions, drill, hammer drill and chisel. If the drill is set to chisel and it is rotating, like @Nailbag has said, it sounds like a fault with the individual tool, which would entitle you to a replacement under the terms of their warranty.

Knowing that you love a good trip to Bunnings, heading in store and having a play with one is probably the best way to go. Then you can make a decision based on your own experience.
