How should I insulate my SteelChief shed with a 25mm thick frame?

Hello to insulate my shed I was thinking of using either Foil board insulation polystyrene insulation or underfloor insulation, but I'm not sure what to use. If I were to use either the foil board or polystyrene insulation I was thinking about using liquid nails or some sort of glue to glue it to the panels but there might be a better option out there. I live in Ballarat Victoria and it gets very hot in the shed. So if I could get some help that would be great.20240117_152205.jpg20240117_152249.jpg20240117_152314.jpg20240117_152326.jpg20240117_152031.jpg20240117_152153.jpg20240117_152332.jpg20240117_152235.jpg

Hi @S3RG404,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Foilboard have a range of Installation Guides which detail the installation method in different situations. I'd suggest you have a look at the Small Shed Installation Guide.

Their recommendation is to attach Foilboard Spacer Blocks to the wall of your shed using high-temperature neutral-cure silicone such as Sika Black NO2 Davco N Silicone Neutral Cure, then attach your Foilboard Insulation Panels to the spacer blocks with the same silicone. After this, any seams or joins should be taped with Foilboard 48mm x 50m Silver Tape to finish things off.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
