Elevated pet food station

Here is a simple little project to make life easier for your cat, I read that a cats feeding  bowl is better if it was elevated a little bit making it easier for the cat to digest the food, I made this stand using left over pieces of floor board and timber for the legs.

Overall size, 430 mm long x 200 mm wide x 120mm high.

Materials

Floating floor plank.

32x33 mm square tas oak timber.

8g x 50mm countersunk screws.

Wood glue.

Clear varnish.

4 x rubber pads for base of legs.

2x bowls.

Tools

Makita 18 volt trim router

Home made circle cutting jig.

Makita mitre saw.

Double sided tape to hold timber in place whilst routering out the circles.

Philips head screw driver.

Drill and drill bits to suit.

Sandpaper 240 grit.

Steps

Step 1

Cut timber plank to size

Mark out circle size to suit bowls

Cut holes for bowls using router and circle jig.

Sand all edges.

Measure and cut 4 legs.

Re: pet food station - elevated

Hi @JoeAzza,

This is a lovely little project that will hopefully improve your cat's quality of life.

It's also fantastic to see that you could use the cutouts for another simple project with your paper towel holder.

Thank you for sharing.

Jacob
