How to reattach a PVC panel back to kitchen benchtop?

The panel that sits above the dishwasher has come off. I think it's PVC?

Behind it I can see the remnants of the glue/adhesive that was previously used. Anyone have an idea what this glue was or most suitable glue to reattach it?

Re: How to reattach a PVC panel back to kitchen benchtop?

Hi @lenstaa,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.

Start by scraping off the old glue using a paint scraper, then wipe down the surface with a cloth and a small amount of Acetone.

I couldn't tell you exactly what was used before, but you could use this Selleys 3mL All Plastics Glue. Due to the small size of the package, I would grab two just to be safe. If you don't use one, you can always return it.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob

Much appreciated @JacobZ

Purchased the above from the Rouse Hill location and fixed it. Thank you.
