After 18 years of this tired old, yellowing, water marked kitchen, it was time for something fresh!!

I had been looking at it for quite some time wonder what to do, and one day realised I could do it myself, so off the Bunnings I went, and bought myself a very inexpensive Ozito bench saw!! This is the BEST thing I have ever bought!!

I had some oak shelving that I previously bought from Bunnings that matched the decor in my home, so I decided this would be great for my new kitchen cupboards. I jumped online and ordered everything I needed from click and collect, picked it all up, and I was ready to go!!

Having never used a benchsaw, or installed a kitchen before it was a little daunting, but oh my gosh, I had so much fun once I got started. It was so easy. I had to cut each door to size and then drill the new holes for the door hinges. I bought iron-on timber laminate for the raw edges, that matched the timber grain, and they looked amazing ( sorry, I don’t know technical names, as I’m not a cabinet maker.. lol)  I found some closet doors that matched perfectly, for my pantry doors, and fridge side panels, cut them to size and fitted them.

I decided to mix it up a bit and go for white gloss cabinet doors for the top of my kitchen. So I bought Kaboodle doors, which were so easy to fit, and I just love the look!

Added some Rose Gold handles and accessories, some mother of pearl backslash tiles, and it was finished!!

I absolutely love it!! Ok, and I’m pretty pleased with myself too.. hehe.

I’ve had so many great comments about how good it looks, and it was super easy and super cheap!!

All thanks to Bunnings!!!

Re: New Kitchen Feels!!

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @emmalee107. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for sharing your excellent renovation.

You've achieved remarkable results there, and I trust you are thrilled with the transformation. It's impressive to see what you've been able to do with this space, and I love the timber look cabinets. The White cabinets are also a nice touch.

Well done, and I look forward to your next project.

Mitchell
