Hello @nirajantmg

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your door.

I propose replacing it as the damage is too severe. The amount of money you'll be spending on repair materials will almost be equivalent to the cost of a brand-new door. I recommend measuring your door and going to your local store to see if any of the doors match the size of your existing door. However, if there are no equivalents, I suggest going to the special orders desk and asking the team to quote you a custom size door.

I also recommend checking out the stores Door Installation Service if you wish to have a professional install your door.

Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendations.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric

Hi @nirajantmg

I agree 100% with @EricL on this one and replace it. New internal doors start at less than $50 and installation starts around $200 for a standard 820mm x 2040mm. Add a further $200 for a basic external door. Then you need to add painting, which is an easy DIY project. 1 x coat of primer to all sides and then 2 coats of your choice of colour. Of course this assume the existing door furniture can be used.

Replacing a door isn't out of the realms of DIY providing the door is exactly one of the standard sizes. If it needs trimming especially down the length then it becomes advanced. Otherwise, a sharp 25mm chisel, and a door installation hole saw set, drill and screwdriver will get you going.

Good Morning @nirajantmg

Yeah thats a replacement job, Someone tried "fixing" one of my doors like that and its so noticable plus cracking its not funny. As @EricL says the costs will outweigh actually replacing the door. I would take your measurements into Bunnings and have a look at internal doors. @Nailbag points are vaild as well. Scary but can be done
