Gallery@home hanging rail weight capacity?

Hi All,

Does anyone know the weight capacity per/m for the Gallery@Home hanging rails?

Most other rails on the internet go for 30-50kg/m.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

My colleague @MitchellMc got in touch with our suppliers and confirmed that the weight rating of the 2m track is 50kg for the discussion Load rating for Gallery Home 2m white track.

Just make sure that the accessories you use are appropriate, as they each have a weight rating as well. For example the Gallery@Home 25kg Adjustable Hook and Nylon Wire Set can support up to 25kg, whereas the Gallery@Home 8kg Skirting Mount Set can only support 8kg.

Is that 50kg per m or 50kg across the entire length? Or 25kg per m? 

As you can imagine, putting a 50kg load on one side vs a distributed load would deliver a significantly different outcome.

Hi Peiran (@PercyG),

It is 50kg across the entire length of the track.

If you were hanging 50kg, you would need to do so across multiple hooks, so the weight would, by virtue of the multiple hooks, need to be distributed reasonably evenly across the track.
