I took off a safety screen door and left a big gap between the floor tiles, not planning to change new tiles.
What is a better option to fill the gap? Grout? Silicone? Or do I have other options that is long lasting but can match colour of tiles too.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Jodd. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about filling a gap in tiles.
The best long-term solution would be to try sourcing tiles similar to your existing ones and replacing the ones with cut sections in them, but that can be difficult if the tiles are older. If matching tiles aren’t available, you could grout the gap in a similar colour, though the texture would likely stand out. Silicone would give a smoother, more flexible finish that’s easier to keep neat, but finding an exact colour match can be tricky, and it may discolour over time. Another option is to install an aluminium or PVC floor trim or threshold strip to cover the gap entirely, which can create a clean, intentional look without trying to blend different materials.
Let me mention @Dave-1 to see if he has any thoughts.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Good Morning @Jodd
I was thinking of a brass flat bar styled floor trim. The colour difference would blend (as the brass takes on its own patina) An Aluminium trim would also look pretty good that @MitchellMc has suggested. You could always paint the strip before laying it down so as to get as close to the tile colour as possible?
You could try and source same sized tiles or same type of tiles (wouldnt go for a smaller tile same colour as I think it would really stand out.
Ikeep coming back to that brass colour, if you varnish it the shine will stay around longer tho being in a foot traffic area I would probarly let it gain its own colouring with time.
I would also like to say Welcome
A very nice first question to start the Bunnings path with ![]()

Late - but I was thinking a strip of hardwood - and malleted into position. Stained whatever color you want - maybe matching the door?
Awful photo - but something like this....
