What timber can be used for a bed frame?

Making my bed frame this weekend, just wondering what some suggestions for what timber would be ideal to get something like this? I’ll either stain it dark or rough paint it white, going for a rustic vibe. Cheaper the better 🤩

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about what timber to use for a bed frame.

Based on the sample photos you've posted I suggest a combination of the following:

• Ecoply 2400 x 1200 x 12mm Non Structural Plywood - 12mm
  
  
• SpecRite Panels 
  
  
• Untreated timber products

It's important that the timber you use inside your home be untreated so that it will be safe to use. I propose drawing a plan on paper so that you can quantify the amount and type of timber you'll be using for your bed frame.
