How to replace bathroom cabinet shelf?

I've just discovered that the copper pipe under my bathroom basin is leaking on the left where it connects with the hot tap. Will I need a plumber to fix that or can I DIY (and if so, how?) and how do I remove and replace the particle board cabinet shelf which has been warped by the leak and started developing mould?

Hi @SunnyZim87,

If you have the replacement shelf cut to size and ready to go, and you have the angle brackets or shelf supports, a plumber should be able to help.

They would just need to cut the hole for the trap, slip the pipe through and connect everything up.

I'd just get a plumber out to quote the job and mention that you need to replace the shelf and ask if they can help.
