My shower head is leaking even after turning the water off, so I am trying to replace the washer
which tap spanner's size should I use to take off the spindle? Do I have to know the size/type of my current washer before buying a new one?
Evening @nam599
I'm thinking with a flat screwdriver start digging out that silicone until you see the base.
Something like this should help you remove the spindle...

The washers (internal taps) are 1/2 inch (12-13mm) mm...
