Cosmetic kitchen reno

We've been working on our kitchen over the last 6+ months. We managed to get the following done

Painting the cabinets,

Adding more cabinetry,

New appliances,

New benchtop

Painted the tile splashback

Added some trim to the cabinets (repainted)

So it's somewhat now 'complete'

It's truly made cooking such a delight and the space feels much bigger and brighter

Cheers all.

Re: Cosmetic Kitchen Reno

Hi @Paul5,

White knight recommends in their where to use section avoiding painting areas exposed to a naked flame. A good rule of thumb is if you can hold your hand against the tile whilst the cooktop is running, it should be suitable for painting. You might also like to avoid placing large saucepans on the rear burners as they will transfer heat closer to the wall.

Re: Cosmetic kitchen reno

Hi and welcome to the community @ajestock.!

I purchased the benchtop from TopForm Australia here in Melbourne and it was the carrera laminate finish.

Hope that helps!

Re: Cosmetic kitchen reno

@diy_hausdesigns  This is awesome...   Do you mind me asking how your kitchen tile/paint has worked out for you.  I'm at that part of my kitchen makeover and concerned if I paint the outdated tiles, they may not hold up the constant cleaning that kitchens require...

Thanks in advance

@diy_hausdesigns

This is amazing, love the trim!

What did you use to stick the trim down?

How did you hide the joins of the trim?
