How to patch a woodchip melamine board?

I have 4cm diameter holes on my pantry shelves where some old cable were that I would like to patch up. They are made out of some wood chip board with a melamine / laminated surface. What can I do to fill these holes?

Re: Help patching woodchip melamine board

Hello @Kawaiiw0mbat1

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about patching your pantry shelves.

I propose cleaning and wiping the surface clean to remove the all the dust and debris. I then suggest using the Kinetic 295 x 210mm White Flat Self Adhesive Cover Plate. Cut the patching plate into 4 equal sections with a sharp Craftright 18mm Snap Off Knife. Paste the cover plate over the hole and press the sides firmly so that the patch anchors well to the surface of the shelf.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
