I wanted a lamp near my couch but most tables to too wide in the walkway,so I made a pair of slim tables that now fit perfectly in a small area along the wall. They match the dining table I made from the U shape metal legs.
They are made from off cuts I got in the timber yard at Bunnings.
I know my work is very rustic and not in any way ‘craftsman’ NOT good enough to enter this competition, but they are good projects for the beginner and fun projects to get starters to get excited to do their own DYI!
Made from off cuts and old pieces of wood I found.
screws and glue, paint and beeswax
sandpaper, paint, bees wax
finished with natural hessian on top
drop saw,
sander
Drills
hammer
*Measure height, cut four legs each table
*cut two cross pieces to form a U shape at bottom
*cut top and lower shelf
* sand each piece
*glue and screw everything together
* attach table top, sand and beeswax
* paint the legs
Hi @NolsE,
Every project we receive is worthy of its time in the spotlight, and yours is no exception. D.I.Y. shouldn't be about perfection; it's much more about the journey and the learning along the way.
They function as intended, they look good, they are resourceful, and I'm sure you enjoyed making them.
That sounds like a perfect project to me.
Thank you for sharing.
Jacob
