Hi @Sarah271,
That picture hook thing looks a bit odd.
Can you take a photo of that from the side.
Thanks
Hi Alan
This is what it looks like close up. I’m not sure what they are even called to search for the correct type of hook.
Thanks for the photos... if you don't have any picture hanging stuff then get this.
And also this.
And while you are there this is great value ![]()
Now... because of the depth of that frame you may have trouble getting the picture hanger to grab onto the picture hook.
Pull the picture hanger forward so it is more exposed the the picture hook.
Still having trouble use a larger hook.
Come back if you need more help.
Cheers
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Sarah271. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about hanging a picture.
It's fantastic to see that @AlanM52 has already offered some helpful advice.
The hanger on the back of the picture is one of the more common types. It's a simple loop to hook over a nail head. You can drive a nail into a timber stud if there is one in the correct position, or use the kit Alan has suggested. If you do go with a nail, ensure you leave enough of it sticking out of the wall to pop the hook over.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks heaps! That worked. Poor design - will avoid in the future.
