How to mount a TV in bedroom?

My home is a 3-level townhouse, newly built - just moved in two months ago.

I want to mount a TV in my bedroom. I'm thinking of two options: 1. On the wall between the wardrobe and sliding door/curtain ; 2. On the wall between ceiling and the wardrobe.

It seems both options are not so good.

Can someone give me an advice or suggestions? Thank you.

Hi @Dave-1  I got the same stud finder that @Nailbag  recommended. Used it when installing my blinds and curtains but I'm still not confident.

Good Evening @Minh_Can

Stud walls are 600mm apart and ceiling joists are 600mm apart (or 900mm depending) so if you kind of find one (unsure) you can check against finding the next one along. Practice on the wall work from the door along maybe to make it easier.

Hi @Minh_Can

Just google "ceiling mount TV brackets" and select one most suitable for your room

Hello @Minh_Can

Excellent advice coming from @Dave-1 in regards to finding the stud in your wall. My suggestion is to take your time and become familiar with your stud finder and its functions. Practicing on your wall will give you true positives. Keep in mind that some units require calibration so make sure to follow your owners manual on how to perform this step.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: How to mount a TV in bedroom

Hello @Minh_Can,

Regardless of where and how you mount the TV it will of course need to be connected to a powerpoint.

To avoid the cost of a sparky I suggest you buy a 32"/12V TV AKA Caravan TV.

Also purchase a 12V DC extension cable so all you have is a thin cable that needs to find its way back to that corner where it would (female) plug into the (male) cable of the power adaptor.

I see a wall point there with two connections which confuses me - why is that?

If that was a single connection I would assume it was TV antenna because most townhouses are provided with them in key areas.

What is that other connection point - network?

Cheers
