Quick-n-easy glass-topped recycled pallet coffee table

We have an al fresco area & wanted/needed a coffee table, especially as we had visitors coming over :smile:

My wife had salvaged 2 Euro pallets from roofing tile repairs at her work but they're available from Bunnings on occasion. Why Euro ones? Bcos they're the perfect size (800Wx1200L) for a glass pool fence panel.

Materials:

* 2 pallets: $0

* 6 x 150mm 14G batten screws: $15 (smaller pack may be available but I use a lot of batten screws in garden projects)

* 800x1200 glass pool fence panel (when I bought it, it was a different brand--Everton--and 10mm but similar price): $80

* 4 x 100mm castors (actually 2 fixed, 2 swivelling) plus fixing screws: $51+

* clear button surface protectors: $2

Assembly: approx 1-2 hr

Re: Quick-n-easy glass-topped recycled pallet coffee table

I hadn't ever considered using that glass pool fencing for anything but a fence. It's probably cheaper too, than buying rounded edge glass from a glazier. Nice project!
