Slim console table

Many console tables are too wide or too big for small areas. I have been making slim tables from re-cycled and unwanted timber. Painting the legs and leaving the table top natural bees waxed gives it a modern look.

Materials

Pine legs and dressed hardwood top. Monument paint and Cabot’s sealer. Finishing the top with Feast Watson bees waxed.

Tools

I use Ozito tools, drills (3) drilling, screwing, counter sink.

sander and bench saw.

Steps

Step 1

Measuring each piece, double checking

Sanding

Pre drill before screws go in

Most joins are glued for extra support

Paint, sand 180 paper then second coat

Seal paintwork

Two coats wax buffing between coats

Re: SLIM CONSOLE TABLE

Hi @NolsE,

I love how you’ve combined recycled timber with a modern painted finish. Painting the legs and leaving the top natural with beeswax really gives it a sleek, contemporary feel.

Many thanks for sharing.
