New shed flooring

New shed flooring

Particleboard.png

Hi again guys, I am engaged in building a new shed and have chosen to mount it on treated pallets (?).

I need suitable flooring and had thought H3/4 plywood? The problem is the cost!

Can anyone offer advice? There must be a cheaper solution I hope.

I see in shed sales yards sheds on pallets but unless you purchase the shed from them they are tight lipped!

Thanks for any and all comments, Dave

Re: New shed flooring

Hi RQ, I agree but this is a one off situation where concrete is out, but thank you for your input, regards, Dave

Re: New shed flooring

TVM Brad, I am looking at the link and just wanted your opinion on just how weathertight they are? This only because I will treat them myself if necessary, regards and tvm again, dave

Re: New shed flooring

Going by what I have read.

Yellow tounge - general purpouse, makers claim 3 months window to get the roof on when building houses.

Red tounge - heavy duty to 500kg loads. Also termite treatment.

Blue tounge - insulated and not a standard Bunnies item.

Green tounge - highest moisture resistance.

Not sure if @Wayne sealed the cut edges when he made his project but that is the weak spot along with pooling water (3mm or under drill hole to drain) and how you have fixed it to the bearers.
