A friend of mine installed a new shed, she wanted a workbench and shelving for storage, she asked if I could help install it.
the work bench chosen was a Bunnings, Pinnacle stainless steel mobile bench complete with drawers, however, she wanted a wider top, she bought the timber top, shelving and pinboard.
Items used.
One work bench.
One, 2200 x 600 x 27 mm rubberwood timber bench top.
One, Pinnacle metal pin board.
Two, shelving units.
Brackets and screws to mount the new top.
Water based clear satin varnish.
75mm paint brush.
Sandpaper.
Power saw to cut timber top.
Screw driver, Philips.
Spanner/socketset to tighten casters and handles.
Bunnings delivered the work bench, pegboard, shelving and replacement timber bench top,
Delivered Monday evening by Bunnings, the driver kindly delivered the work bench into the shed.
Benchtop, Pegboard , shelving units were delivered by a Bunnings supervisor, on Saturday before the workbench arrived.
Assemble two shelving units, no tools required.
Install pegboard to inside wall of shed.
Cut to size new bench top, sand , varnish all over, 3 coats.
Install top to existing mobile workbench timber top, using angle brackets, this added extra height to the bench.
All done, the owner is very happy with the completed job, it will be a good surprise for her husband, currently overseas.
Hi @JoeAzza
Thank you for sharing this shed makeover. The mobile work bench is huge and adding the workbench makes it so much more practical. Adding the Steele shelves has definitely organized the area. I'm sure your friend's husband will be very surprised when he sees the improvement in his shed.
